My work is a reflection of myself, fluid and ever-changing—almost disparate at times. I’ll become enamored with one object, color, or idea, and it’ll make its way into a new body of work. I try to not overly define or describe it, because I know it’ll most likely evolve into an entirely different creature once the seasons change.
Named “one to watch” by Luxe Magazine, Nashville artist Ashley Treece specializes in creating paintings that merge present daily life with nostalgia and imagination. Spanning from representational to abstract, the works incorporate familiar objects and symbols floating through seas of color, shape, and pattern, often merged within portraits of spaces, people, or ideas. Ashley holds a B.A. in Painting from the University of Arkansas School of Art.
